Solar Subsidy

Switching to solar is now more affordable than ever with Government Subsidies under the PM Surya Ghar.

Central Government Subsidy (MNRE)

Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, residential consumers can avail subsidies as follows:

  •  1 kW → ₹30,000
  •  2 kW → ₹60,000
  • 3 kW or above → ₹78,000 (maximum central subsidy)

💡 Note: The subsidy is directly transferred to the customer’s bank account through the National Rooftop Solar Portal after system inspection and approval.

State Government Subsidies

Different states offer additional support over and above the central subsidy.

Delhi (Latest Update – 2025)

  1.  Extra subsidy: ₹30,000 for a 3 kW system.
  2.  Total Subsidy = ₹78,000 (central) + ₹30,000 (state) = ₹1,08,000.
  3. Applicable for residential consumers through BSES & Tata Power DISCOMs.

Haryana

  1. State nodal agency HAREDA provides extra subsidies for residential and institutional projects.
  2. Amount varies; updated as per latest government orders.

Uttar Pradesh

  1. Certain categories (residential/priority groups) receive additional financial assistance beyond the central subsidy.

💡 Note : Subsidy schemes change frequently, so customers should always confirm eligibility through the National Portal for Rooftop Solar.
